Flooding in Western Region of Australia
Australia Post has declared a force majeure event in Western Australia since March 13 due to severe weather causing flooding and road closures in the region. As a result, the collection and delivery of all mail products (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) are affected across the entire state, the post informed the Universal Postal Union in an Emergency Information System circular. Late last month, Australia Post had to declare force majeure in Victoria due to bushfires, but it said the situation there has returned to normal.
