Australia Post (AU) is informing customers that there will be delays delivering and collecting all International products from/to Queensland and partially impacting the rest of the state, due to the Commonwealth Games that will be held from 4th – 15th April at the Gold Coast, Australia. Temporary Stoppage of Mail Services to Bolivia

A service alert from the U.S. Postal Service notes the following disruption of mail services to Bolivia: Most mail services to Bolivia have been temporarily stopped in accordance with a request by the government of Bolivia. Until further notice, only Global Express Guaranteed (GXG) service will still be available. The temporary stoppage affects Priority Mail Express International, Priority Mail International (already unavailable to Bolivia), First-Class Mail International, First-Class Package International Service, International Priority Airmail, International Surface Air Lift, and M-Bag items. Changes to Australia’s GST Take Effect on July 1

Australia plans to introduce changes to its goods and services tax (GST) effective July 1, 2018, and the impact on low-value goods will have implications for merchants who sell goods, electronic distribution platform operators, and re-deliverers. On March 6, the U.S. Postal Service hosted a webinar featuring representatives of the Australian Taxation Office. The speakers defined terms and surveyed anticipated changes, with additional notes on preventing double taxation; registration, returns, and payments; compliance; and additional sources of information.
